The Hatteras 74' Sport Deck embodies all of the elements that have made Hatteras motor yachts so popular with luxury yacht buyers over the years: heavy construction, conservative styling, lush interiors, and dependable, time tested engineering. Her contemporary exterior is accented by an integral swim platform that provides an aft activity platform in place of a cockpit. With her massive superstructure, the 4 stateroom interior delivers truly expansive accomodations. Aside from the spacious owner's suite aft (with its king-size bed), there's a full-featured VIP stateroom amidships, anothe VIP cabin forward, and a walk-in engine room. On the main deck, the salon is open to the galley and dinette forward. Visibility from the enclosed wheelhouse is excellent. The Hatteras 58 Yacht Fisherman is essentially a 53 Motor Yacht with the addition of a 5-foot cockpit extension. She was introduced in 1970—just a year after the Hatteras 53 MY was launched—and she enjoyed a long and very successful production run during the next twelve years. The 58’s cockpit makes her a more versatile and better handling boat than the 53 MY, and the additional fuel capacity results in a greater cruising range. Belowdecks, her three-stateroom, galley-down floorplan is the same as the 53 MY with the helm open to the salon and separate walk-in engine rooms. The aft deck is sheltered by a bridge over- hang and fitted with wing doors for wind and spray protection. Significant improvements came in 1975 with the addition of stall showers in the aft guest and forward head compartments. The previously optional 8V71TI diesels also became standard in 1975. These continue to be very popular yachts and resale values remain quite strong.

There are very few sportfish-style yachts out there that can compare with the beauty and quality of this 1986 Hatteras 36 Sedan Cruiser. She is a gorgeous 1980's convertible with a wide beam and propeller-pocket hull. She is a great family cruiser or a can be a hard-nosed fishboat. At 26,000lb., the 36 is a rock solid single stateroom, galley-down cruising boat capable of comfortable operation when most boats are weathered in at the dock. Irrespective of age, the top quality, long lasting Hatteras fit and finish shines through not to mention the integrity of the well-engineered, long lived, mechanical systems Hatteras is noted for. The 36 Hatteras is rated a “best buy” by Pascoe. She can run at about 1200 rpm (7.5 to eight knots) with a combined fuel burn of about four gal/hour. Wide open throttle is at about 2560 rpm and allows her to get of “ugly water” at approx 23 knots. This is a heavy vessel with excellent sea-keeping abilities and legendary Hatteras quality and ride.
